Plastic Cylinders & Acrylic Cylinders
Our Plastic Cylinders are constructed from a variety of plastic materials to meet your project requirements. We offer both monolithic (no seams) and bonded (with seams) plastic cylinders in a variety of diameters, thickness and lengths. Diameters as small as ½” and as large as 120″.
How we Construct Plastic Cylinders
We manufacture our seamed acrylic cylinders by drape forming a flat sheet in our specially made cylinder molds.
The seam is then bonded with high quality bonding agents, and polished for minimal exposure.
Depending upon the size, some bonded cylinders are made with one vertical bond joint, while larger plastic cylinders often require two or more bond joints.
The thickness of the cylinder will depend greatly upon how it is being used. Plastic cylinders intended for cosmetic appearance only may have walls as thin as 1/8”, while a pressurized cylinder or one holding water may be as thick as 3”.
